This mural was painted back in 1995 it is located on the Hollywood Freeway southbound at the Sunset Overpass. I am currently looking for a site to relocate this mural because the freeway has got to be one of the worst places to paint a mural and after almost 15 years I'm tired of maintaining it.
Please dont move it. i love this mural. I drive past it every day. Actually i drive past almost all of your murals on a weekly baises. However, when i first saw this mural i fell in love with it. Please dont move it.

Hi Thanks! After over 15 years of maintaining it all by myself and at my own expense as well... I just can't do it anymore.. but I've invested too much time and money in it to just let it go...I promise when I do find a new location somewhere on Hollywood Blvd...it will be just as visible and never damaged or tagged ever again and people will get to enjoy it up close..if you drive by my other murals regularly you'll still see this one because it will be in the same neck of the woods as the others.... I'm just waiting for the perfect wall to show itself to me preferably somewhere by his star on Hollywood and Highland. George
George, I'm an art conservator and under contract with the City of LA to help remove graffiti and preserve murals. The next two contracts to be done are murals on Hollywood Blvd. (with graffiti) where people can get up and personal.
I'd love to talk to you about your great murals. I love them too! Scott M. Haskins
www.fineartconservationlab.com (really poor website that's 10 years old that is presently being redone... sorry)
Hi Scott, Thanks... I've never had a problem with any of my murals in Hollywood...just this freeway piece and as time goes by it gets hit less and less but after babysitting it for 15+ years I'm just ready to move it to a new a better location and be done with it... if you have any suggestions... I'm all ears! George
